Soccer
In the past I’ve found soccer particularly hard to shoot. The players tend to kick the ball around in no predictable manner, the whole field is in play, and at night it becomes even more difficult.
At least thats how I felt until last night when I shot soccer for the first time in a little over a year. It didn’t go as poorly as I thought and I managed to get some good action shots.
This is the picture that ran in today’s paper:

Attack of the Spurrier
I was given another opportunity to design a cover for The Red & Black’s “First & Goal” section this week. The initial concept from Section Editor Phillip Kisubika was to have a gigantic Steve Spurrier walking around downtown Athens. It was my decision to stylize it as and old horror movie poster, and Design Editor Melanie McNeely’s to add in Mark Richt defending the city.
