Coach Richt’s other heros

Got a last minute assignment last night to go to this event because someone was told UGA Football Head Coach Mark Richt would be dancing.  Unfortunately he never danced but we’d already planned for the shot to be dominant so I had to figure out how to make a standard speech shot more interesting.

I only tried this shot twice, and the second attempt came out blurry so I consider myself pretty lucky to have gotten it.

Tuesday night head coach Mark Richt commanded an army, and it wasn’t his football team.

Approximately 700 students attended the “Kickoff for UGA” hosted by UGA HERO to hear the coach speak. The students were either one of 1,000 “HERO Philanthropists” or one of 200 committee members.

“Coach Richt wanted to personally thank everyone for helping out the kids,” Executive Director of UGA HERO Kevin Scott said.

The group hopes each of its 1,200 volunteers will raise a minimum of $150 to donate to families affected by HIV and AIDS.
