A few weeks back I wrote about how a camera called the Canon 7D had shown up on some website. After asking a Canon representative first hand about the camera and him declining to talk about it, I’d say something is certainly going on.
Engadget on the other hand has found reference to the “Canon 5d Mark II.” My guess is that the 7D and the 5D Mark II are the same thing, but thats only because 5+II=7. Fuzzy logic at the best, but interesting none-the-less.
