The sun sets on Athens

As the week winds down on my potentially last week in Athens, I decided to shoot from somewhere I’ve never shot from before.

The Farmers Exchange apartment building sits at the intersection of Broad Street, Thomas Street and Oconee Street. The side of the building has a ladder which never seems to be locked. Camera and lenses in hand, I made my way up to the roof with my friend Daniel Brettschneider.

Here is some of what I got.

This shot was actually inspired of a photo my friend Pouya Dianat has. However, in his an airplane is flying in front of the moon. His is better.

Daniel Brettschneider looks over the edge of the roof onto downtown Athens, Ga.

The skyline of downtown Athens, Ga. taken slightly earlier than the first photo of this post.

The overall view of the intersection and Broad Street.

A long exposure of Broad Street at the Jackson Street intersection.
