Anniston Star

Christmas in July

Yesterday I drove up to Huntsville to shoot the annual Alabama High School All-Star Football Game that was being played at Alabama A&M University.  Unfortunately I didn’t have any time to check out the Space Museum, not that I could afford the $20 necessary just so I could experience nostalgia for when I used to go to Space Camp.

Anyways, why the game is in the middle of the summer beats me, but at least it was warmer out than the guys I shot back in December.

Adrian Marcus of Thompson High School, blue, gets hit by Gary Johnston of Gulf Shores High School, white, during the first quarter.

D’Eric Jackson of Piedmont High School tries to run the ball as Rico Porch of Central – Phenix City High School defends.

D’Eric Jackson of Piedmont High School dives for a punt he dropped in the first half.

North Quarterback Paul Winterbottom, Calera High School, gets tackled by Zack Peppers of Marbury High School during the 3rd quarter of Friday’s game.

Devin Smith of Foley High School decides to run at the defensive line instead of through the giant hole that has appeared in front of him.

Zack Townley of Winfield High School, breaks a tackle by Roya Campbell of Thomasville High School Friday.

Chandler Tyree of Oxford High School, right, tackles Quarterback Devin Smith of Foley High School during the 4th quarter of Friday’s game.

Clarence Morris of Prattville High School, white, catches an interception during the 4th quarter of Friday’s game as Mike Timmons of Florence High School, left, watches.
