Dixie Youth, again

That baseball tournament I shot the other day had their championship game tonight.  Since it was an important game, I couldn’t get away with shooting more abstract shots like I did last time.  So, this time I focused primarily on game action and the other associated feature shots.

One thing I tried to do though was pay a bit more attention to the layering of the shots.  I.e., trying to have other players in the background instead of a straight up shot of the play.

Members of the Taylorville team celebrate after winning a 7-0 game against Greenville Thursday night clinching their place to represent the state of Alabama at the Dixe Youth Baseball League championship in La Grange, Ga., next month.

Taylorville pitcher Rob Perteet fields a ground ball in the 6th inning of Thursday nights game.  Perteet pitched a shutout.

Taylorville’s  Lee Clark tries to tag out Greenville’s John Dunn after trapping the ball on a base hit.

Greenville’s Toby King looks upset in the 5th inning with his team down by several runs.

Greenville’s Chase Whidden fails to make a play at the plate as a Taylorville player scores in the third inning.
