HDR at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.

I took the photos for this during the first few minutes of the third quarter during today’s game.  There is a bit of ghosting on the bottom because the people were moving around a lot, obviously the affect is lessened the further away everyone gets.

I’m really aching to try this in a high contrast scenario.  Since the game was at midday the lighting was pretty even, but one of these days I’ll find a scene begging for it.

Glory glory to Ole’ Georgia.

  1. I meant to tell you this yesterday…..

HDR only really works when there is a dramatic range of light, IE not at 2 PM in bright sunlight with no shadows whatsoever.

Try it late in the golden hour and see what you get because there’s no tonal range

  2. Yeah, I think i say something similar to that in the post itself. I just like the cell-shaded like look it provides.
