Grant Awards w/ light!

This is a typical luncheon person speaking at podium shot, but what I like about it is how I decided to light it.  The light in the room was a mess, the podium was positioned on a wall between two large windows.

Basically, she was incredibly backlit.

After failed attempts of trying to bounce the flash off the ceiling, I tried putting the flash on a table parallel to her about 20 feet away and walked back across the room.  Using the remote function on the flash and camera I triggered the flash to get some light directly on her.
