Spent a day and a half with Ed Sveum who makes appearances as Santa during the holidays.  It was pretty entertaining and he was really easy to work with.  I also made a soundslide which I’ll post later today.

Santa gets recognized even out of costume.  This guy saw Sveum’s car and said, “That must be your Miata.”  His license plate reads, “MRYXMAS.”

Ed Sveum’s hair is naturally blonde, he has to get it bleached every year and curls it before all appearances.

Sveum’s wife was headed to Alabama that day to visit family.

Santa need’s no introduction, but he was introduced anyways.

The Santa suit is rather warm, so Sveum takes down the top of his Miata to help him cool off on the way home.  He got lots of looks.

Sveum only plays Santa on weekends, during the week he runs a 3D ultrasound company.  He may not go to work in the suit, but he looks like Santa wherever he goes.
