Gwinnett Daily Post

Khalid Mutakabbir, Peachtree Ridge

I shot this portrait back in early November but it is running in today’s paper.  I actually posted this in my best sportraits of the year for 2008 with my boss’s permission, but now that its actually running I can also include the one that didn’t get used (which is below the cut).

For something like this, it always really helps when the kids want to look as bad ass as possible.  They may not understand what you are trying to do at first, but you do a test shot, show it to them, and after they see it they are usually as patient as you could ask for cause they like where you are going with it.

Khalid was really easy to work with and it shows in the photos.

One strobe to his right, the other to his left.

I think I had one strobe above, and another in front of him.
