AVP Semifinals and Championships

The AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta Open continued today down at Atlantic Station.  It was the third day of the tournament and I passed on shooting yesterday due to the wedding (I did shoot the first day). Thinks went better today, figured out what worked and what didn’t and I think it shows in my shots.  [...]

PhotoSynthesis makes my photos grow

Shot my first professional wedding today with Devon Morgan of PhotoSynthesis Atlanta.  She graduated from UGA and was part of the photojournalism program while she was there but went into weddings after graduating. Anyways, I’m very appreciative of her giving me the opportunity to work with her given that this was my first wedding I’ve [...]

Elonians

The NCAA College World Series regionals are going on this weekend and one of them is at Georgia Tech.  Elon University hired me to shoot their team for them.  I haven’t shot baseball in a little over a year and I’d never shot it with dedicated long glass before.  I like the stuff I got [...]

Ballz to the wallz

Today was the first day of the AVP Crocs Tour Atlanta Open down at Atlantic Station.  I shot some photos and submitted them to Zuma before heading down to Georgia Tech to shoot a baseball game, photos to come. I’ve never shot professional volleyball before, I’ve only shot high school volleyball once before.  Anyways, all [...]

This little piggy went to market

Headed over to the East Atlanta Village Farmer’s Market today and was a bit disappointed because it was much smaller than I expected it to be.  Took some photos anyway since there’s no point of wasting the trip. Mini-carrots, hmmmmm.

Lazy wednesday

Today was mainly spent at my apartment relaxing in anticipation of a pretty busy weekend coming up and then running by the post office to mail something. Nose deep in recycling.

Prop 8

Today, as a result of the California Supreme Court’s ruling on Prop 8, a bunch of people met up at Piedmont Park to protest.  The weather wasn’t great and the planning was very last minute so turnout wasn’t terribly high.  I ran into Elissa Eubanks of the AJC which was nice, hadn’t seen her in [...]

Propane and propane accessories

Actually I think my family uses a natural gas grill, but I do love me some King of the Hill.  Anyways, in honor of Memorial Day my parents had a cook out at my house.  Ken Caruthers of Rome News Tribune fame joined us as well since he was passing through Atlanta on the way [...]

Brandon and Ollie Yarbrough

Tonight I was a guest at the wedding of Brandon Yarbrough and Ollie Richie (now Yarbrough as well) at the Primrose Cottage in Roswell, Ga. Knowing that I’d have to shoot a wedding next week I decided to get some quick practice in since I’ve never shot one before (and really had never been to [...]

Wreck up the White House, have a park named after you

Lauren and had planned to hit up the Atlanta Jazz Festival in Grant Park today before heading to a wedding tonight in Roswell.  Unfortunately, we didn’t know that the first band wouldn’t go on until 3:00 p.m. so we walked around a bit before heading out. Little dude enjoying the wet grass.
