Preseason Countdown: UGA Football

In honor of football season’s kick off in about a month I will be dedicating the next few Friday’s to my favorite football photos that I’ve taken over the past few years from the college, high school and professional level.

Networking

Went to a networking meeting with my Dad this morning in Roswell.  The speaker asked why we were here, I said to my dad, “because I hate sleeping.” I kid, I kid.  I handed out a few business cards and talked to some people.  Networking events kind of remind me what I imagine speed dating [...]

The things I do for academia

Today my friend Paul was coming into town to do some research for his doctoral thesis.  Paul studies anthropology and is slightly obsessed with food, so he combined the two to come up with the topic of his thesis. His research consists of observations about Mexican food and culture via Mexican restaurants in Atlanta and [...]

Show @ ICANFLYII

Yesterday I saw a note from my friend Conor letting me know there was gonna be a show at ICANFLYII down near East Atlanta.  I’d never been there before and also wanted to see Conor’s band, Fox Trotsky, which I hadn’t seen in about 5 years so I decided to head down after getting Lyndsey [...]

Daily Bread

I baked bread today.  It’d been awhile and I’d been baking a mainly wheat loafs or wheat loaf hybrids the past few times I made it so I decided to go pure white this time.  Well, thats a lie.  Its mostly white with some green in the middle.  I rolled spinach up in it.  Truth [...]

They say its your birthday

After the protest on Saturday I drove up to Marietta to spend time with Jessi and her boyfriend Kevin who was celebrating his birthday which was earlier in the week.  They celebrated at Winston’s on Sandy Plains Road. Can you believe this guy made it alive through 29 years? I love you Kevin.

Iran Solidarity Protest

Shot my fourth Iran protest today over at Lenox Square Mall at the intersection of Lenox Road and Peachtree Street.  I think I mentioned this last time (see my past few attempts here), but after shooting so many it becomes a challenge to find some new way to show the same thing I’ve done before. [...]

Scandal @ Dad’s Garage

Went with a friend to see “Scandal” at Dad’s Garage down near Little 5 Points tonight.  I’ve never been before so it was an interesting experience.  Every week they’ve been doing this soap opera type story that builds off previous weeks about a circus and the people who work there.  Check it out if you [...]

Wine and Cheese

The other day my apartment complex had a wine and cheese tasting.  Random, yes.  Tasty, yes. This was the best of the three whites they featured.

Flicks on Fifth: I Love You Man

Went to see “I Love You Man” at the intersection of 5th Street and Spring Street tonight for the conclusion of Flicks on 5th (click here for photos from the last time I went). Lots of people showed up but I was unable to procure enough chairs for some of my friends so I sat [...]
