Last Saturday I shot the Marietta vs. Parkview girls first round playoff basketball game for the AJC.  Parkview was the #1 team in the state and undefeated.  They ended up losing by 1 point after they missed a last second shot.  Everyone was stunned.

During a game like this, where David defeats Goliath, it’s all about the celebration afterwords.  Rarely will they run a game action photo as the dominant art for the story, maybe if they need a second photo, but never as the first or only.  Basically, that shot of the celebration is the only thing that really matters.

Parkview’s Lauren Coleman sits in disbelief after the undefeated, #1 rated Parkview Panthers girl’s basketball team loses to Marietta in the first round of the state playoffs.
