Football: Marist vs. Southwest DeKalb (High School)

For the record, DeKalb County’s football stadiums have the worst lighting I’ve ever had to shoot in.  Sometimes you don’t have a choice but to shoot at ISO 12,800.  In regards to the game though, it definitely looked like things were going to overtime until Marist’s kicker hit a 59 yard field goal with 3 [...]

Commercial: Firestations for Studio ALA

Last week I shot Firestations 111, 13 and 18 in Atlanta for architectural firm Studio ALA.  They designed all three houses and needed some shots showing them off.  Here are some of the shots I thought were more interesting. Firestation 13 in East Atlanta at night.

Football: South Gwinnett vs. Parkview (High School)

Last Friday the AJC sent me out to shoot the South Gwinnett vs. Parkview high school game, which also happened to be Parkview’s homecoming.  South Gwinnett dominated the game and came away with the win.  The game wasn’t particularly notable for that though.  One of the photojournalism students from UGA I knew wanted to come [...]

Football: NC State vs. Georgia Tech

Shot the second Georgia Tech home game of the year.  NC State won 45-28 in what is looking to be a mediocre year for the Yellow Jackets (and UGA but that’s neither here nor there).  Tech looked flat most of the game, and the defense was just giving up yards left and right, over 500 [...]

Blairsville, Ga.

Last week when I went up to Blairsville to shoot this story for the Wall Street Journal, I had some free time because I arrived a bit early.  I camped in the downtown square area and took some quick snapshots before heading over to the assignment. In the downtown square

Refinancing your home (WSJ)

Last week I got a call from the Wall Street Journal asking me if I was able to shoot an assignment up in Blairsville.  I jumped at the opportunity of once again shooting for them and made the two hour trek north the next day.  The story was about refinancing your home, which is apparently [...]

Downtown Atlanta

After the East Atlanta Strut on Saturday, Sam and I stopped by his office downtown.  His office had a great view so I took advantage and made a 30 frame panorama of downtown facing north.  The cylindrical building in the center is the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel. Downtown Atlanta, Ga.

The Imperial Opa circus

At the East Atlanta Strut on Saturday, a local circus group called “The Imperial Opa” had some performances .  I stopped by the 4:30 show to see what it was about. The Imperial Opa’s “human wall”

East Atlanta Strut, 2010

Yesterday was the annual East Atlanta Strut.  After watching some football, my roommate Sam and I made our way over to East Atlanta Village to see what all was going down. The King of Pops set up shop at the festival.

Shadow

The other day on my way to work the sun came through a railing and cast a nice shadow on the light gray ground.  The contrast made me stop to take a photo.
