Football: Roswell vs. Collins Hill (High School)

High school football season has officially started.  This year my first game was Roswell vs. Collins Hill, coincidentally I shot the schools’ last game against each other last year during the playoffs (see here).  It was also my first football game using my new Canon 1D mIV.  By the end of the game I was shooting at 12,800 ISO but you wouldn’t be able to tell looking at the photos.  I know the D3 has been able to do this for awhile, but I was really impressed with the high ISO abilities of the camera compared to my old 1D mIII.

  1. These are great! Can you tell me what you are shooting with, lens, and some setting info? HAving a tough time getting the clarity you have.

  2. What shutter speeds are you getting at 12800?

Also, the colors in these photos look really flat. Are you converting to sRGB before you upload online?
