Over the past weekend I flew out to Colorado to shoot the wedding of my Friend Chris Lindsey and his bride Emily Ferris. I’m still not done editing those photos but I was able to finish up my shots of when I walked around downtown Denver on Sunday before my flight.
It was a pretty cool city, and it looked especially clean. I stayed mostly in the confines of the 16th Street Mall, basically the entirety of 16th street is reserved for shops and restaurants and is closed to commuter traffic. I walked up and down it and eventually ran into the Denver Gay Pride Parade before heading back the other direction and finding myself surrounded by people on their way to the Rockies game.
One of the cool things about the mall area was that there were these random pianos scattered around it that anyone could walk up to and play. A few homeless people played, but I saw a lot of street performers and regular people tickling the ivory as well. They were all pretty good and made for a nice soundtrack.
