Beverly Trisch (right) comforts Kiya Birku (left) after Birku spoke during the vigil held by assorted campus ministries at the Tate Center Monday night.

This is a photo from my sounslide, mentioned in the last post, that ran in the paper today.

There are a lot of elements I like about this photo. There is a good moment, there is repetition in their body language, and the composition is nice and tight.

However, I’m not thrilled with the background being so blown out. If I had used a fill flash i could have elimanated that by exposing for the background and using the flash to give me detail on their faces.
