Last Friday I was asked to go shoot a fireworks store to go with a story about the sale of fireworks and how purchasing habits have changed since the drought last summer.  Pretty straight forward.

The paper is doing some comparison of different types of peanut butter and they needed a product shot of them all.  The page designers set up the items as they wanted and I figured out the lighting in the studio.  It was actually the first time I’d used actual studio lights before, well when there is more than one involved anyway.

There were three lights in the set up.  One on the right, one on the left, and one to the left side to kill the shadows from behind.

As always, when doing studio work with big lights I shoot in camera raw.

Although freedom isn’t free, if you went to Freedom Fest you could in fact get a free lunch.  Lots of free attractions for the kidies, free speeches about freedom for the adults and free lunch for everyone.

There is a week long camp for adults and kids in Anniston for Sacred Harp.  I’m still not entirely sure how it is any different from any other type of religious singing, but to go with the photos I did some audio.

Yesterday I shot this bilingual daycare center that is run by this couple who use the proceeds from the center to run a ministry.
