Here are the photos i shot at the Falcons game the other week for The Winston-Salem Journal.

The story was about this guy, Cliff Davis, who has kidney problems.  His health is failing and one of the things he wants to do before he passes is to go to as many Carolina Panthers football games as possible.

He’s been following the team across the country and the paper asked me to get shots of him when he came to Atlanta.  I met up with him at the tour bus he was taking and hung out with him a bit before the game before heading into the Dome.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Lauren Carroll for recommending me for the gig to her boss.

Cliff’s health forced him to go back into the bus to sit for a little bit after going outside to tailgate prior to the game.  He became dizzy and needed to sit down.  He’s been doing these trips mostly by himself so when his health issues flare up he has to deal with them by himself.

There isn’t really a story behind this photo, but it was one of my first chances to test out my 50mm f/1.4 that I’d gotten the other month.  I just really like the look that the narrow depth of field gives and the color is fantastic.
