The NCAA College World Series regionals are going on this weekend and one of them is at Georgia Tech. Elon University hired me to shoot their team for them. I haven’t shot baseball in a little over a year and I’d never shot it with dedicated long glass before. I like the stuff I got but there were far too many home runs and not enough field action. It made for less than exciting photos considering both teams scored over 15 runs.
Elon trailed the entire game then took a one run lead in the bottom of the 8th. They were down by as many as eight runs at one point, but then gave up their lead and were unable to make anything happen in the bottom of the 9th. Their frustration was quite evident.
