In honor of football season’s kick off in about a month I will be dedicating the next few Friday’s to my favorite football photos that I’ve taken over the past few years from the college, high school and professional level.
This week is UGA. I started shooting Georgia football in 2007 while I was working at The Red & Black as Chief Photographer. It was a great experience and nothing has ever felt as weird as walking onto the field at Sanford Stadium for the first time and being surrounded by 90k+ people.
I love shooting games in Athens though, but I probably won’t be able to make it back there for a game this year. The Macon Telegraph asked me to shoot all of Tech’s games so I’ll be down in Atlanta, which granted is much closer to where I live (10 minutes vs. an hour), but regardless is a great opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
I went through all the games I shot over the past 2 years and compiled by favorite 25 for you all to see below.
