Saturday I second shot a wedding for Devon at Photosynthesis Studios. The ceremony was at Alpharetta United Methodist Church and the reception was at the Alpharetta Country Club. The couple was very friendly and let Devon and I do our thing. It is great working with people like that.
One of the things I really enjoy about working with Devon though is that she lets me play around and try out new things. An example is the photo below, which worked, and a photo of their departure which didn’t and thus is not shown here. It’s always nice working with someone who encourages you to think outside the box to get new and unique photos.

| Caitie, Tyler and Devon humored me by letting me try out this shot. It’s a 6″ exposure, but I had Devon stationed behind the couple with her SB-800 on optical slave mode and I used my 580 EX II to freeze them from the front. It’s nice because I got to shoot this at ISO 100 in contrast to everything in doors which was around 3200 ISO. |
