As I’ve previously mentioned, I was the Photo Editor this summer at The Red & Black. Two of my final projects were just unveiled to the public yesterday and I am now able to post them here.

This is the last in my series of photos I took in Walton County last weekend for my photo-class. They are of the restaurant Twisted Oak as they prepared for their Sunday Brunch.

(Above) Three fire fighters with the Monroe Fire Department work to quell the fire at Carol Head’s home in Monroe, GA on March 24, 2007 that claimed her garage and kitchen. The blaze is believed to have begun after her SUV exploded early Saturday morning while sitting in her garage.

Carol Head talks to Peyton Pettus of State Farm insurance before she enters her Monroe home for the first time since a fire destroyed part of it March 24, 2007. Head had to wait for the insurance representative to arrive before she was able to return to recover items necessary for her health.

Carol Head’s automobile after it is suspected to have exploded in her garage early Saturday, March 24, 2007 and caused a fire which destroyed part of her home in Monroe, GA. It is unknown as to what caused the car to explode, but preliminary investigations by the Monroe Fire Department indicated the car was most likely the cause of the fire.
