This is my final preseason countdown post (see the others here here, here and here). Today’s football photos are all high school level. They are all copyright The Anniston Star, the Gwinnett Daily Post and OurVarsity.com
Central Gwinnett High School’s Malcom Moulton got decked during a play against Birkmar High School in 2007.
Day 4 of the basketball tournament and two more games for you. Today includes Collins Hill vs. Peachtree Ridge and Brookwood vs Meadowcreek, both boys.
Gwinnett has so much sports talent, its honestly kind of weird to think that any of these kids I’ve shot could be in the NBA one day.
Meadowcreek vs. Berkmar, boys basketball. Both teams were good and it was a fun game to watch/shoot.
I imagine I’d make a similar face in this situation.
High school basketball tonight at South Gwinnett High School. Both teams are doing pretty well with one loss each, I believe. Game went to the buzzer and I got some decent stuff out of it.
Meadowcreek’s Charles Johnson (1) jumps into the arms of teammate Jarvis Brown (11) after the team narrowly defeated South Gwinnett at [...]
Covered a basketball game tonight for the paper between Meadowcreek and Brookwood. Despite a fairly terrible football program, apparently Meadowcreek’s basketball team is pretty good. They won, but it was a really close game.
See, even during fierce competition there is time to come together and love one another. Ok, is it just me or does [...]
Phillip Pickens plays for Meadowcreek High School. He is a senior and has only won one game in his high school career. Despite the adversity, he is one of only two seniors on the team this year to play their entire time in high school
I give him a lot of credit for sticking it out [...]
I did my second video for the paper last week and it went live on the website today. It was another 2 Minute Drill video that I did with Sports Writer Brandon Brigman.
I had a better idea of what we’d be doing this time, and we did the interview before practice this time so I [...]
Photos from the Parkview vs Meadowcreek High School football game on Friday.
These are photos from the second game I covered on Friday at Meadowcreek High School in Norcross. They played Duluth and broke a 43 straight game losing streak. Needless to say, students and players were pretty stoked about it.
Meadowcreek head coach Terrone Owens hugs Maleek Allen (6) after the team’s first win since 2003 Friday [...]
