A week or two ago Elyse brought over her Nintendo Wii to our apartment including the game Rock Band II. Brett has really gotten into it, and definitely starts acting like a rock star whenever he plays. I finally got to take photos of him in action last night.
Brett is one crazy dude.
Back in high school I became friends, through my friend Scott, with the members of a band named Who Am I? They broke up and some of the members went on to form Fox Trotsky (Conor Quinn, Mason Turner and Gus Fernandez). They are still around today, kind of, since they announced that this would [...]
I was hanging out with my friend Trishna today who has been in Korea for the last year. We made our way down to Decatur and while we were walking around we saw a bunch of people loading up harps into the gazebo. A bit curious as to what was going on, we decided to [...]
This is Adam Shapiro. He plays guitar and sings, but he is blind. He played yesterday at WRFG’s block party (see yesterday’s photo’s here).
He did some folk songs and then a Johnny Cash song which I wish I had recorded, but this was the one he played right after. Keep reading to see more pics [...]
Brett and I hit up the Radio Free Georgia (WRFG – 89.3 FM, Atlanta) block party in honor of their 36th anniversary of being on the air.
The Seed & Feed Marching Abominable kicked off the celebration by marching from Findley Plaza at Little Five Points down Euclid Avenue to the Little Five Points Community Center.
Once [...]
This is the final post of mine from AthFest 2009 (click here to see more photos from AthFest). I was fortunate enough to catch Madeline Adams once again (click here for more photos of Madeline). This lady rocks and its always a pleasure to see her.
When you first walk into the venue part of Flicker, [...]
Friday afternoon I shot Twin Tigers on the main stage of AthFest (click here to see other photos from AthFest). I don’t remember much about the show except that there was a stuffed unicorn sitting on the stage in front of the bassist. She had a little dance with it towards the end of the [...]
Friday afternoon I shot The Corduroy Road on the main stage of AthFest (click here to see other photos from AthFest). I’d never heard of them before, but my friend Danielle recommended I check them out. The band is a bit folksy with definite bluegrass influence, as evidenced by the banjo and stand up bass.
The [...]
Second post from AthFest (click here to see them all). This one is from the Dead Confederate show from Friday evening. They opened up for The Black Lips and were a bit more traditional and what I’d expect to be on the stage.
The crowd was pretty dense for the show and the fans seemed to [...]
Welcome to AthFest (click here to see all my photos from this year’s AthFest), the annual celebration of local music in the city of Athens, Ga. Better known as the home of R.E.M., the B-52’s and Drive By Truckers (among other big names), but its also home to the University of Georgia. Anyways, once a [...]
