This is my final preseason countdown post (see the others here here, here and here). Today’s football photos are all high school level. They are all copyright The Anniston Star, the Gwinnett Daily Post and OurVarsity.com
Central Gwinnett High School’s Malcom Moulton got decked during a play against Birkmar High School in 2007.
I shot four basketball games today in Carrollton and in order to keep my sanity I tried thinking of ways I hadn’t shot basketball before. This includes different shooting positions and of course, different lens selection.
Norcrosss Adrian Hubbard (42) goes up for a layup as Wheeler defenders watch Saturday in Carrollton.
As basketball season winds down the last few of those portraits I shot back in October and November are all getting used. If any don’t run, I’ll put them on here after the championships, but there shouldn’t be that many.
I think this was actually one of the first ones I did. I did each guy [...]
Day 3 of the basketball tournament and two more games for you. Today includes Norcross vs. Duluth and Mill Creek vs Chatahoochee, both girls.
Norcross’ Tiffany Clarke, left, gets fouled by Duluth’s Ravven Brown, right, after Brown collided with Clarke as she went for a layup. Norcross got some key breaks that gave them the [...]
These kids are some of the top swimmers at their school, but after they graduate in may they will either be going to Army or Navy.
I wasn’t sure how to illustrate the idea of them going to the service academy, so I just decided to have them group up and stand back to back against [...]
Shot my first national signing day event today at Norcross High School. I’d taken a look at what the AJC had been doing since they were posting the galaries regularly through out the day so I’d have an idea of what it was supposed to look like.
I got there early and shot some detail shots [...]
Meadowcreek vs. Berkmar, boys basketball. Both teams were good and it was a fun game to watch/shoot.
Where’s my head?
Norcross High School had a basketball game against Monsignor Pace from Florida today.
In soccer, this is called a “header.” This image didn’t tell the story of the game very well so I didn’t submit it given how dominant Norcross was.
Welcome to the fourth installment of my year in review. This time it is sportraits, or portraits involving sports.
Honorable Mention: Brookwood softball player Julia Westbrook.
More lit high school women’s basketball action for you all. This time between Norcross High School and Mill Creek High School.
Generally it helps to jump for the ball when rebounding.
