This past Friday I shot the final game of the regular season between Peachtree Ridge and North Gwinnett High School. Both teams were undefeated in their region 7AAAAA, so the game was actually a championship of sorts. North Gwinnett won the game to claim their first regional title, but both teams will go to the [...]
Friday’s game for the AJC was Collins Hill at Peachtree Ridge. Collins Hill went into the game undefeated. It was an interesting game if for no other reason that I’d shot both of these teams already this season (here and here).
I figured Peachtree Ridge probably would have an edge going into the game despite coming [...]
Had my third game for the AJC on Friday. This time it was Northview at Peachtree Ridge in Suwanee. This game was one of those games where you just feel sorry for the kids on the other team. Northview has a 13 game losing streak and had no chance at taking down a Peachtree Ridge [...]
This is my final preseason countdown post (see the others here here, here and here). Today’s football photos are all high school level. They are all copyright The Anniston Star, the Gwinnett Daily Post and OurVarsity.com
Central Gwinnett High School’s Malcom Moulton got decked during a play against Birkmar High School in 2007.
Day 4 of the basketball tournament and two more games for you. Today includes Collins Hill vs. Peachtree Ridge and Brookwood vs Meadowcreek, both boys.
Gwinnett has so much sports talent, its honestly kind of weird to think that any of these kids I’ve shot could be in the NBA one day.
I shot this portrait back in early November but it is running in today’s paper. I actually posted this in my best sportraits of the year for 2008 with my boss’s permission, but now that its actually running I can also include the one that didn’t get used (which is below the cut).
For something like [...]
Shot the Gwinnett County Wrestling Championships today at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Ga. I’ve never shot wrestling before, or been to a meet before, so it was an interesting experience.
I think I did decently, hopefully I’ll do better next time though.
Matt Johnson (Parkview) dec. Corban Nilson (Brookwood) 3-2
Welcome to the fourth installment of my year in review. This time it is sportraits, or portraits involving sports.
Honorable Mention: Brookwood softball player Julia Westbrook.
Sometimes you work really hard and then life screws you. Michael Pate was one of the stars of his team, then he broke his arm during the last game of the season. His team plays this week for the state championship and he won’t be able to play in the game. He’s got a pretty [...]
This week was the first week of the football playoffs in Georgia. I shot the Peachtree Ridge vs. Dacula game at Peachtree Ridge.
P. Ridge is a relatively new school and as such the lighting there is a hell of a lot better than a lot of other schools in the county. Not by much granted, [...]
