Yesterday I took my cat of 16 years to the vet after he had stopped eating. Unfortunately the vet revealed he had a tumor in his intestines that was blocking anything from getting through in addition to spreading to some of his organs, it was just his time. I brought him home to have one last night with him, and to let him enjoy his home one final time before we had an early morning appointment to put him down today.
For 16 years he's been with me as I left journalism and started ad school. Moved to the west coast (twice). He met my wife before any of my human friends did. He was also there when we brought our daughter home from the hospital. Killbot has been with me for every major part of my adult life, by my side and putting up with whatever I threw our way.
It'll be weird to continue on without him and I'm going to miss him a lot.
I used a photo I took of him after my wife, Killbot and I moved into our current home. Then I used a mix of Midjourney, Photoshop and Google Gemini to make this. Just my way of honoring a really great cat.
