For my brother's birthday I made him an illustration of the first house he owned. Him and his wife moved into a new house this past June, so I thought it would be a fun thing to hang in his new house.
Came across a photo on Reddit and thought it would make an interesting illustration.
When I was little I was convinced I wanted to be an architect. I used to spend hours playing around in home CAD programs. Even though I ultimately went a different path, I still find myself drawn to architecture. Maybe it's the geometry. My brain tends to run really organized and I like when things make geometric sense.
Anyway, here is an illustration I did based on some trips to San Francisco the past few months.
Earlier this year I bought and iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and it's really helped me with drawing more. I think I always hated how with an eraser on real paper you never could quite perfectly erase mistakes. It's a lot easier to do digitally, obviously, so I find myself picking it up more to try random things then I did when I only had a notebook and pencils/pens.
As promised, I debuted my Toyota PlayGround project today. You can see the whole project by clicking here.
